On June, 25th 2019 we presented the initial results of our research in a meeting with researchers from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and Universidad Pompeu Fabra. This meeting took place at the campus of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, in Leganés (Madrid).
The purpose of the presentation was twofold:
- First, we aimed at disseminating our work. We explained our approach to automatically create contextualized learning resources out of Open Data published on the Web. For this purpose, we described an illustrating scenario that exploits these resources to bridge between formal and informal learning processes. We also presented our architecture design and some examples of learning resources created with our working prototype.
- Second, we aimed at obtaining feedback from the research community. Our colleagues from Carlos III and Pompeu Fabra agreed that the data already existing on the Web of Data has a big potential for the automatic generation of learning resources. They also suggested other scenarios (which involve other learning technologies, like MOOCs) where this same approach would be useful.
